Relief Printmaking: An Introduction to Linocuts
Date: Saturday August 30th and Sunday 31st August
Time: 10am – 4pm

Minimum of 4 people required for course to run – Maximum 5 people total
In this fun and interactive two-day workshop, we will be exploring the versatility of the linocut medium for relief printing. A strong focus will be on your own personal development of imagery and creative mark making processes.
How to carve the block, ink up, layer colour, and print using a variety of methods will be covered.
We will be based at my art studio in Sumner. With small class numbers you can get the support, attention and guidance you require.
This workshop is suitable for beginners or those with some experience.
Students to Bring
Imagery or ideas for a 150mm x 200mm linocut print
Light weight gloves for carving if you have sensitive skin, I use SHOWA gardening gloves
Old shirt or printing apron
Your lunch – morning and afternoon tea will be supplied
